Christmas at home, with the cousins in Leeds and Perth in it too.

The short answer

Kunbaa is an invite-only family space where you plan Christmas with relatives in other cities and countries: who hosts, who brings what, how gifts work, and a call time that suits every time zone, in one plan everyone can see. On the day, everyone adds their photos to the same album. Everyone in the family joins free.

Across time zones

One lunch can't hold everyone

Christmas lunch at 1 pm in Leeds is 9 pm in Perth and 8 am in Toronto. Nobody's day matches, so the plan can't live in one call.

On Kunbaa the plan is there when each branch wakes up: the host, who brings what, how gifts work, and a task to pick the call time that suits the most people.

The plan

A plan the whole family can see

Pick Christmas and the plan starts with Christmas's own checklist: confirm the host and whether anyone needs a bed, agree how gifts work, split the main, the sides and dessert, plan the call with family far away, and ask everyone to add their photos. The date starts at 25 December. Change anything; it's your family's plan.

The date is the one fixed thing about Christmas, and families still keep it in their own way, so the plan is yours to change.

The album

Everyone's photos, one album

Your sister's table in Leeds, your brother's first tree in his new flat, Nana's hands rolling the pastry. On the day, everyone adds their photos to the event's album, so the whole family's pictures end up in one place.

Only the relatives you invite can see them. Kunbaa is invite-only, has no ads, and sells nobody's data.

Every generation

Everyone in it, including the grandparents

Everyone in the family joins free, wherever they live, and each relative has their own place on the family tree. Grandparents can follow the plan and the album on kunbaa.com in a browser.

Accounts are for adults; children are in the photos and on the tree, added by their parents.

How it works

  1. 1

    Pick Christmas

The plan starts with Christmas's own checklist and the date 25 December, and your family can change the day.
  2. 2

    Invite the family

Each relative gets their place on the tree and sees the plan.
  3. 3

    Share out the food

Add the dishes, and each relative says “I'll bring it” beside the one they'll make.
  4. 4

    Plan the call

Pick a time that works across time zones, so relatives who can't travel still share the day.
  5. 5

Add your photos on the day

From every home, into one album that the invited family can open.

Frequently asked questions

More questions? Read the full FAQ or the help centre.

When is Christmas in 2026?

Friday 25 December 2026, on the same date everywhere. Kunbaa starts the plan on that date, and your family can change it, for example to Christmas Eve, the weekend before, or 7 January if your family keeps it then.

How do we plan Christmas with family in different countries?

Put the plan where everyone can see it, whatever time they wake up: the host, who brings what, how gifts work, and a call time that suits the most people. Then ask everyone to add their photos to one album on the day.

How is this different from our family WhatsApp group?

Keep the group for talking. Kunbaa keeps the plan, the photos and the family tree together in one place, so nobody has to scroll back to find who is bringing the pudding.

Can relatives in another country join?

Yes. Everyone in the family joins free, wherever they live, and sees only what is shared with them.

Who can see our Christmas photos?

Only the relatives you invite. Kunbaa is invite-only, has no ads and sells nobody's data. See exactly how private Kunbaa is.

We don't keep Christmas on 25 December, or we keep it our own way. Does this work for us?

Yes. The plan is your family's own: name it, pick the day you keep and invite who you like.

Does it cost anything?

Starting a family, the tree, events and the album are free, and everyone in the family joins free. Kunbaa Plus is an optional paid plan for keeping more of the family archive. See pricing.

Is there an app?

Yes, on iPhone and Android, and everything also works on kunbaa.com.

This Christmas, put everyone in the picture.

Everyone in the family joins free.
