Acceptable Use Policy

Effective date: October 23, 2026 · Last updated: October 23, 2026

Kunbaa is operated by Vritul Pty Ltd, a company registered in Australia. Kunbaa is a private place for families. These rules apply to everyone who uses it, to everything you add to it, and to everything its AI writes for you. They sit beside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Breaking them is breaking the Terms. To use Kunbaa you agree to all three when you sign in.

1. You are responsible for what you do and publish

You are responsible, legally, socially and ethically, for what you add, send, say and share on Kunbaa. That includes photos, posts, messages, calls, comments, family tree entries and anything you ask Kunbaa AI to write. Keep it lawful where you live and where the people you share with live. Be honest. Be fair to the people it reaches. Think about the people in a photo or a story before you share it, especially children, older relatives, and anyone who is no longer here to say yes.

2. What you may not do on Kunbaa

These seven rules bind people, not only the AI. You may not use Kunbaa, its AI, or anything you share through it to make, ask for, store or spread:

  1. Sexual content involving minors. Anything sexual or suggestive about a person who is, or appears to be, under 18. There is no exception.
  2. Nudity or sexual content of any kind.
  3. Violence. Gore or graphic injury, threats, or content that praises, promotes or incites violence, terrorism or violent extremism.
  4. Hate or harassment. Attacks, slurs or demeaning stereotypes aimed at people for their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability or serious illness. Bullying or targeting a private person.
  5. Self-harm or suicide content, other than pointing someone to help.
  6. Illegal activity. Illegal drugs or weapons, trafficking, counterfeit goods, fraud, scams, or instructions for committing a crime.
  7. Deception. Pretending to be a real person or organisation. Images, voices or names of real people made or used without their consent. Fake reviews or endorsements. Facts you know to be false presented as true.

Kunbaa AI will not make these things, and it checks what you ask and what it writes against them. If you meet one of its refusals, do not try to get around it.

3. Families and children

Kunbaa is for families, and children appear in it. These rules protect them.

  • Accounts are for people 18 and over. Children appear in Kunbaa only as people in a family: for example in a family tree, or in a photo or memory an adult adds. Do not create an account for a child, or let one use yours.
  • Do not share a child's images or personal details outside the family space they belong to. That means no posting them publicly, no sending them to people who are not in the family, and no using them for anything other than family life.
  • Do not groom a child. Do not contact a child you are not related to, as an adult, through Kunbaa. Do not sexualise a child in any way, in words, pictures, edits or AI requests.
  • Do not add a person to a family tree who has asked not to be there, and take them off when they ask.
  • Parents and guardians are responsible for what is shared about their children, who they invite, and what the children see. Before you add information about a child, make sure you have the right to share it with the family you are sharing it with.

Our child safety page explains what Kunbaa does about child sexual abuse and exploitation and how to report it.

4. Other things you may not do

These are the rules in Section 6 of the Terms of Service. In short, you must not:

  • Break the law or violate another person's rights.
  • Upload malware, spam, abusive content, deceptive content, or anything designed to disrupt the Service.
  • Harass, threaten, impersonate, exploit, or deceive other people through Kunbaa.
  • Scrape, copy in bulk, reverse engineer, overload, or try to reach parts of Kunbaa you are not allowed to use, or get around security, rate limits or usage limits.
  • Share an access token for a connected AI client with anyone else, or use one to reach data or families your own account is not permitted to see.
  • Use Kunbaa for emergency response, professional medical advice, legal advice, financial advice, or safety-critical decisions.
  • Upload content that exploits or endangers children, violates privacy, promotes violence, or is otherwise unlawful or harmful.

5. Keeping accounts safe

You must not:

  • claim an account that does not represent you;
  • make a false report that an account has been compromised;
  • confirm another person's identity for an account recovery when you have not spoken to them;
  • try to get a sign-in code, or access to an account, from Kunbaa or from another member by deception.

We may suspend accounts used to do this (Section 7 below and Section 15 of the Terms).

6. How to report abuse

If you see something on Kunbaa that breaks these rules, tell us. You do not need to be a Kunbaa member to report.

  • In the app, use the report option on a post, comment, photo or profile.
  • For child sexual abuse or exploitation, follow the steps on our child safety page.
  • For anything else, write to us through the contact page or at privacy@kunbaa.com, with "Abuse report" in the subject, what you saw, where, and why it is a problem.

If someone is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number first. Kunbaa is not an emergency service.

We read every report and look into it. Do not report in bad faith: a false or abusive report is itself a breach of these rules.

7. What Kunbaa does when the rules are broken

We act in proportion to what happened and what could happen next. In order, we may:

  1. Send a notice saying what was wrong and what to change. This is usual for a first, minor breach.
  2. Remove content that breaks these rules.
  3. Restrict features, for example pause sharing, AI or invites, while a problem is fixed.
  4. Suspend the account when a breach is serious or repeated, or while we look into a report.
  5. Close the account for a serious breach, for repeated breaches after notice, or when the law requires it.

Immediate action. We act straight away, with no earlier notice, when content involves the sexual abuse or exploitation of a child, when there is a credible threat to someone's life or safety, when Kunbaa is being used for fraud or a scam, when an account has been taken over, or when a court, regulator or law tells us to.

We tell you why. When we act on your account we tell you what we did and why, unless the law forbids it or telling you would put someone at risk or harm an investigation.

You can ask us to look again. Reply to our message, or write to privacy@kunbaa.com, within 30 days. A person who was not part of the first decision reviews it and answers.

Your data and your money. What happens to your data and to any payment when we close an account is set out in Section 15 of the Terms. How deletion works is on the account deletion page.

Where the law requires it, we report to the authorities. See the section on requests from governments and law enforcement in our Privacy Policy.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Kunbaa changes or as laws change. When we do, we update the date above, and we ask you to agree to the new version the next time you sign in.
