One paid plan, Kunbaa Plus at $15.99 a month or $159.99 a year (save 17%, paid on kunbaa.com), is what keeps it: longer videos, room for the whole family's archive, and the photos and videos from the family chat.
Everyone in the family talks, calls, shares and is seen for free. Kunbaa Plus is what one person pays so that what the family shares is kept. Free is the whole family, live and unlimited: the tree, the family wall, chat, voice and video calls, events and Family Safety — for every member, with nothing they send in chat ever blocked by the archive being full.
Early-bird families: join early and pay $79 for the first year on kunbaa.com, then renew at the normal $159.99 a year. We discount the first year because you are taking a chance on something new — never the renewal, because Kunbaa needs to still be here when your grandchildren open it.
The discount is applied automatically at checkout — no code to type. The early-bird price is on the yearly plan, and takes the discounted first year instead of the free trial. It is for the families who join while Kunbaa is new; it will not run forever.

Kunbaa Plus funds secure hosting, storage, and media delivery for your family's archive. Your family's space is invite-only, carries no ads, and nobody's data is sold — the product is funded by keepers, not advertisers. Payments on kunbaa.com are processed securely through Stripe.

- Your family's archive is never deleted and stays readable to everyone in the family. Anything kept under Plus stays kept. What changes is what happens next: adding is limited to the free allowance, videos in the archive go back to short clips, and photos and videos sent in chat after that follow the free plan's one-year window. You can also take the archive with you — a self-serve download-everything export is being built, and until it ships, support will prepare your complete archive on request.

- Yes — a first Kunbaa Plus subscription bought on kunbaa.com starts with a 30-day free trial, on either billing interval. A card is required to start it, and unless you cancel before it ends the first charge for the interval you chose ($15.99 monthly, or $159.99 yearly) is taken automatically. While an early-bird offer is running, it takes a discounted first year instead of a trial, and trials are not offered to accounts that have subscribed before.

- Whichever suits you. Kunbaa Plus is $15.99 a month or $159.99 a year — the yearly price is 17% less, and works out to about $13 a month for the whole family. Kunbaa's job is keeping things for the long term, so yearly is what we'd pick; monthly is there because committing a year to a young product is a real ask. You can switch between them at any time from the billing portal.

- How long are photos and videos sent in chat kept?
- On the free plan, photos and videos sent in chat are kept for a year. A placeholder says so when one goes, and in its last month anyone who runs the family can tap Keep this to move it into the family archive, where it stays for good. On Kunbaa Plus they are kept in the archive for as long as the family is on Plus, and anything kept under Plus is never deleted afterwards. Sending is never blocked by the archive being full, on either plan.
- Why are accounts 18+?
- On purpose. Adults keep it, kids are in it: your children appear in the tree and in the photos, added by you. Adults-only means no stranger can ever be inside your family's space, and Kunbaa is not collecting data on children.
