Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Kunbaa, including the website, mobile apps, family tree tools, memories, posts, announcements, chat, calls, invites, goals, and optional paid features. By using Kunbaa, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Your account
- You must be old enough to use the service under the laws that apply to you. If you are under the age of majority in your area, use Kunbaa only with permission from a parent or guardian.
- You must provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in credentials secure.
- Kunbaa may link approved sign-in methods, such as mobile and email verification, to the same account when the information matches.
2. Family information and permissions
You are responsible for the information you upload, post, or share in Kunbaa, including details about relatives.
- Only share information you have the right to share.
- Use care when sharing children's information, health details, private documents, or someone else's contact information.
- Respect the access settings, privacy expectations, and boundaries of other family members.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse Kunbaa. For example, you must not:
- Break the law or violate another person's rights.
- Upload malware, spam, abusive content, or anything designed to disrupt the service.
- Harass, threaten, impersonate, or deceive other people through Kunbaa.
- Scrape, copy in bulk, reverse engineer, or try to access parts of the service you are not allowed to use.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you upload to Kunbaa. You give us permission to host, store, process, display, and transmit that content only as needed to operate, secure, improve, and support the service.
This includes actions such as generating thumbnails, syncing across devices, delivering notifications, creating backups, and letting you share content with the relatives you choose.
5. Calls, messages, and invites
Kunbaa may let you send invitations, messages, announcements, and call requests. You are responsible for using these features respectfully and lawfully.
If you choose to invite someone from your contacts, make sure you are comfortable sharing an invitation with that person.
6. AI-assisted features
Some features can help with drafting, translation, summaries, or accessibility. These features are optional.
You remain responsible for reviewing AI-generated output before you post, share, or rely on it. Do not rely on AI output alone for health, legal, financial, safety, or emergency decisions.
7. Paid features and billing
- Some features require a paid plan. Prices, usage limits, included features, token budgets, and add-on availability may change over time.
- Billing may be offered only in supported territories, supported storefronts, and supported product channels. Some product surfaces may remain informational until the required native store purchase flow or local compliance work is complete.
- If you subscribe, you authorize the applicable app store or payment provider to charge you according to the terms shown at purchase, including any taxes or recurring renewal terms that apply.
- Unless required by law, payments are non-refundable once a billing period begins. Canceling stops future renewal but does not retroactively refund a period that has already started.
- AI plans and add-ons may use technical guardrails such as monthly token budgets, weekly caps, and abuse-prevention checks. If a budget is exhausted, some AI-assisted features may slow, stop, or fall back to non-AI behavior until the allowance resets or more capacity is added.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you break these Terms, create risk for other users, or misuse the service.
You may stop using Kunbaa at any time. Deleting your account or content may not immediately remove all copies from backups or family spaces where another admin still has lawful access.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep Kunbaa available and reliable, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Features may change, improve, or be removed over time.
10. Disclaimers and limits
To the extent permitted by law, Kunbaa is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that every feature will always be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for every purpose.
To the extent permitted by law, Kunbaa and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or use.
