Coming to Kunbaa · join the waitlist

Mum is hosting the holidays, and the cousins are voting on dessert

Festival plans, a family vote, your family's year in review and Share to Kunbaa are coming next. None of them is open yet — join the waitlist and we will email you when they are.

What is coming to Kunbaa?

Four things are coming to Kunbaa: festival plans that start from each festival's own checklist, a family vote on an event, your family's year in review, and Share to Kunbaa for adding photos and videos from your phone's share sheet. None of them is available yet, to anyone. Join the waitlist on this page and we will email you when they open.

Four things your family will do next

  • Festival plans Coming soon

Pick the festival and the event starts with that festival's own checklist: who hosts, the food, the call with family far away, and a reminder for everyone to add their photos to one album.

Diwali, Navratri and Dussehra, Holi, Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha, Lunar New Year, Hanukkah, Christmas, Easter, and Thanksgiving in the US and Canada. A date is suggested where a rule sets it; where the moon does, the family picks the day.

Today: plan any festival as an event, with reminders and a starter checklist. Family events

  • Family vote Coming soon

A host starts a vote on the event — best dish, where next year. Everyone invited votes once and can change their mind until the vote closes.

Everyone sees the totals and their own vote. Nobody sees who voted for what, and the result stays with the event.

  • Year in review Coming soon

The family's year in numbers: the photos, videos and stories added, the events, the busiest month, the festivals, the biggest gathering and the first memory of the year.

Each person's review counts only what they are allowed to see, and says so when a count may not reach back to January.

Today: Moments keeps every photo and video the family has shared, newest first. Moments

  • Share to Kunbaa Coming soon

Add photos and videos straight from your phone's share sheet: pick them in your camera roll, tap Share and choose Kunbaa.

It comes with the Kunbaa app, which is coming soon to iPhone and Android.

Frequently asked questions

Can Kunbaa help plan Diwali with family abroad?

Today, as an ordinary event: create a festival event on kunbaa.com with a starter checklist and reminders, and invite the family wherever they live. Festival plans, which are coming, go further — pick Diwali and the event starts with Diwali's own checklist: the host and puja time, the sweets and food, diyas and decorations, the call with family far away, and a reminder for everyone to add their photos to one album. Diwali's date moves with the lunar calendar, so the family picks the day it keeps. Festival plans are not available yet; join the waitlist to hear when they open.

Which festivals will Kunbaa have plans for?

Diwali, Navratri and Dussehra, Holi, Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha, Lunar New Year, Hanukkah, Christmas, Easter, and Thanksgiving in the US and Canada. Christmas, Easter and both Thanksgivings come with a suggested date. Festivals set by a lunar or lunisolar calendar move each year and can differ by region, so the family picks the day it keeps.

Does Kunbaa have family polls?

A family vote is coming, and it is not available yet. A host starts a vote on an event — "best dish?", "where next year?" — with two to six answers. Everyone invited to the event votes once and can change their vote until the vote closes. Everyone sees the totals and their own vote; nobody sees who voted for what. Join the waitlist to hear when it opens.

Does Kunbaa make a family year in review?

A year in review is coming, and it is not available yet. It shows the family's year in numbers: the photos, videos and stories added, the events, the busiest month, the festivals, the biggest gathering and the first memory of the year. Each person's review counts only what they are allowed to see, so it never reveals a post that was not shared with them. Join the waitlist to hear when it opens.

Can I share photos to Kunbaa from my phone?

Not from the share sheet yet. Share to Kunbaa is coming: pick photos or videos in your camera roll, tap Share and choose Kunbaa. It comes with the Kunbaa app, which is coming soon to iPhone and Android. On kunbaa.com today you post photos and videos to the family wall.

When will these open?

There are no dates yet. Each one is switched off for every account while we finish it. Join the waitlist and we will email you when they open, and tell us which one your family would use first.
