How is Kunbaa different from our WhatsApp group?
Kunbaa doesn't replace the group — that is where the day's chatter lives. Chat photos are compressed substantially and chat media can expire from the servers, so an old photo may fail to re-download if the sender no longer has the original. Kunbaa keeps — the photos and stories with the names and dates in the caption, and everyone's birthdays on a real family tree — and it calls: voice or video, one to one or a group of up to 4 free and up to 6 on Kunbaa Plus, only ever from a relative in your family space, with no phone number handed out.
What does private actually mean?
Invite-only, no ads, your family's data is never sold, and nobody outside the family can see anything. Signed-in family content is never used as ad inventory.
Can my kids have accounts?
Accounts are for adults, 18 and up. Children are in the tree, the photos and the stories, added by the adults who keep the family space — adults keep it, kids are in it.
Can we call each other in Kunbaa?
Soon. The Kunbaa mobile app, coming soon to the App Store and Google Play, includes private voice and video calls — one-to-one, or a group of up to 4 people including you free and up to 6 on Kunbaa Plus — free for everyone, and only relatives in your family space can ring you, because there is no phone number to hand out.
What does it cost?
Everyone joins free — the tree, the wall and events today, and chat, voice and video calls and Family Safety when the mobile app arrives. Kunbaa Plus at $15.99/mo or $159.99/yr (17% less, about $13 a month for the whole family yearly) keeps longer videos in the family archive, room for the whole archive, and the photos and videos from the family chat; one person pays, on kunbaa.com, and everyone else is covered.

Coordinate without the noise
Events and shared to-do lists keep birthdays, visits, festivals and reunion plans visible to the relatives who need them.
Coming soon in the mobile app: opt-in location sharing with a live map for coordinating arrivals. It stays off until someone enables it, shares only with the relatives they pick — for 15 minutes, 1 hour or 8 hours, or until they stop — can be stopped at any time, is free for the whole family, and is not an emergency or monitoring service.
