Signing in, codes and devices
No passwords to forget. A code by email the first time, your face or fingerprint after that.
The first sign-in
Open the app, tap Get started, enter the name your family knows you by and your email, and tap Email me a code. Type the six-digit code from the email and you’re in. If you have an invite code from a relative, tap I have an invite code instead and you’ll land straight in their family.
You can also use Sign in with Apple or Continue with Google. Whichever you choose, use the same one next time so your account stays one account.
After that
Once a device has signed in, Kunbaa offers Face ID, Touch ID or your fingerprint to get back in. You won’t need another code on that device unless you sign out.
Accounts are for adults
Kunbaa accounts are for people 18 and over. Children are on the tree and in the photos — added and looked after by the adults in the family — but don’t have accounts of their own.
More than one device
Sign in on your phone, your tablet and the website with the same email. Everything is the same everywhere, and calls ring wherever you are. If you lose a device, email support@kunbaa.comfrom the address on your account and we’ll sign that device out for you.
Questions families ask
Is there a password?
No. You sign in with a six-digit code sent to your email, or with Sign in with Apple or Google. After the first sign-in on a device, Face ID or fingerprint gets you back in.
My code hasn't arrived.
Check the spam folder first, then tap Resend code. Codes expire after a few minutes, so use the newest one. If nothing arrives at all, the email address may be typed differently from the one your family invited — check with the person who invited you.
Can I use Kunbaa on my phone and my iPad?
Yes. Sign in on each device with the same email; your family, tree and chats are the same everywhere. Calls ring on every device you're signed in on.
Can I change my email address?
Email support@kunbaa.com from the address on your account and we'll move it for you — a person does this so nobody can hijack an account by changing its email.
How do I sign out?
Settings → Sign out. Your family's content stays where it is; signing out only removes it from that device.
