How to delete your Kunbaa account
You can delete your account from inside the mobile app in under a minute. Before you do, it's worth knowing exactly what deletion covers — and grabbing a copy of anything you want to keep.
Before you delete: keep a copy
Deletion is permanent, so if there's anything in your family space you'd want later — photos you added, stories you wrote — request a copy of your archive first. See getting your data out of Kunbaa.
Delete from the mobile app
- Open the Kunbaa app on your iPhone or Android phone and tap your photo at the top to open the menu, then Settings.
- Scroll to Privacy and account.
- Choose Delete account and confirm the deletion prompt.
That's it. Your sign-in profile is removed, the records that link your identity across Kunbaa are cleaned up, and the device is signed out.
What deletion covers — and what it doesn't
Deleting your account removes you: your sign-in profile and your identity records. It doesn't automatically erase everything you ever shared into the family space, because a family archive is shared by design — the photo you added of your grandmother is part of her story for everyone, not just your account. Shared family content may remain where other members still rely on it, or where we need to keep it for legal obligations, safety, fraud prevention, dispute handling or backups. We review the associated data so personal data that's no longer needed is deleted.
If you want specific content removed as well as your account, tell us — email privacy@kunbaa.com and describe what you'd like taken down. The formal detail is in the Privacy Policy's retention and deletion section.
If you can't access the app
Email privacy@kunbaa.com from the email address (or include the phone number) used for your Kunbaa account, and say whether you want the account deleted or only specific data removed. You can also use the contact form. There's a summary of both routes on the account deletion page.
Common questions
Does deleting my account delete the family's photos?
Deleting your account removes your sign-in profile and the records that identify you across Kunbaa. Content you shared into the family space may remain where other family members still rely on it, or where we're required to keep it for legal, safety or dispute reasons. If you want specific photos or posts removed as well, say so in your request and we'll review it.
Can I delete my account without access to the app?
Yes. Email privacy@kunbaa.com from the email address or phone number used for your Kunbaa account and ask for deletion. Tell us whether you want the whole account deleted or only specific data removed.
I just want to stop paying — should I delete my account?
No need. If you let the paid plan lapse, your family's archive is never deleted: everything in it stays readable to your family, anything kept while you were on Kunbaa Plus stays kept, and adding new memories is limited to the free allowance until you renew. Photos and videos sent in chat from then on follow the free plan's one-year window. Deleting your account is only for when you want your own profile gone.
Does deleting my account cancel my subscription?
It depends where you bought it. A plan bought on kunbaa.com is cancelled as part of deleting your account — you keep the time you have already paid for and nothing further is charged. A plan bought inside the mobile app is billed by the App Store or Google Play, and only that store can stop it: deleting your Kunbaa account does not cancel it, so cancel it in the store first or it keeps renewing. On iPhone or iPad: Settings, your name, Subscriptions. On Android: the Play Store app, your profile, Payments and subscriptions, Subscriptions.
