Events and to-dos
A birthday, a Sunday roast, the reunion — one plan everyone can see, with the jobs split up underneath it.
Creating an event
Open the Kunbaa tab → Events and tap +. Give it a name, a date and time, and a place. Choose who’s invited — a few people or the whole family — and add a note if there’s something to know (“no presents, he says”). The event appears on the family calendar for everyone invited, and they get the invite as a notification.
The family calendar
The week strip at the top of Events shows what’s coming; Upcoming and Past list everything. Birthdays from the tree are on the calendar automatically — add a birth date to a relative’s card and it’s there every year.
To-dos
Every event has a to-do list underneath it. Add the jobs — book the table, bring the cake, pick up Nana — and give each one to someone. People tick their own off, and the event shows how far along the plan is. Tap To-dos at the top of Events to see every open job across all your events in one place.
On the day
Photos posted to the wall during an event gather under it, so the reunion album makes itself. Afterwards the event moves to Past with its photos attached — next year’s planning starts from there.
Questions families ask
Do birthdays appear on their own?
Yes. Any birth date on the tree shows up on the family calendar every year, so the reminder comes from the tree, not from someone remembering to type it in.
Can I invite only some of the family?
Yes. Choose who's invited when you create the event; only they get the invite and the reminders. Leave it open to the whole family for the big ones.
What are to-dos?
The jobs behind an event — book the table, bring the cake, pick up Nana. Each one has an owner and a tick box, and they live under the event so the plan and the work stay together.
Do people outside Kunbaa get the invite?
Not directly. Invite them to the family first (it's free) and the event comes with it. There are no public event pages or links.
Will I get a reminder?
Yes, as a notification before the event — and for birthdays, on the day. You control notifications in Settings.
