Advertising, Monetization & Consent Policy

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use private family content to target ads. Your family tree, private messages, private posts, private media, events, tasks, and the AI-written family digests Kunbaa sends you are never turned into ad inventory or used to profile you for advertising, and private family content is never used to train public, general-purpose AI models. Any advertising is limited to public marketing pages and is governed by your consent choices.

Kunbaa is funded by one paid family plan plus public-site monetization. There are no add-ons, and what the paid plan buys is keeping — longer videos in the family archive, room for the whole family's archive, and the photos and videos shared in chat kept while the family is on the plan. The plan is bought on kunbaa.com, and in any app store where we make it available. Our goal is to make the business model clear without turning private family content into ad inventory.

The paid plan funds infrastructure, media storage, the family digests Kunbaa writes for every account free of charge, support, and product development. Public pages may use advertising, sponsorships, affiliate links, or analytics where permitted by law and your consent choices.

Advertising or sponsorships may appear on Kunbaa's public website, including marketing pages, feature pages, solution pages, blog pages, and other public discovery pages.

Ads do not belong inside private family spaces. We do not place ads in authenticated family trees, private chats, private family posts, private media vaults, events, tasks, billing screens, or admin controls.

Kunbaa may use Google AdSense and other approved advertising, measurement, or sponsorship partners on public pages. We may also publish clearly labeled sponsored placements, house promotions, or affiliate links in the future.

When third-party advertising is enabled, those providers may receive limited technical data from public pages needed to serve, measure, and protect ads — such as IP-based signals, cookie or device identifiers, approximate location, and page-view data — subject to your consent choices and applicable law.

• We ask for consent before loading optional advertising and analytics technologies where consent is required by law.
• If you reject optional cookies, Kunbaa does not load third-party advertising tags from your browser on public pages.
• You can revisit your choice at any time using the cookie settings control on the site.
• You may also use browser controls and Google's own ad controls such as My Ad Center or Google Ad Settings where available.
• For traffic in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, Google may require a certified consent management platform or Privacy & Messaging configuration in the AdSense account in addition to site-level controls.

When optional advertising technologies are accepted, Google and other vendors may use cookies, local storage, ad identifiers, approximate location, IP-based signals, and page-view data from public pages to serve, cap, and measure ads.

We do not use private family tree data, private chat content, private family posts, private media, family location data, or the family digests Kunbaa writes for you to personalize third-party ads.

We do not "sell" your personal information for money, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioural advertising, as those terms are defined under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA).

Because we do not sell or share personal information in this way, there is no separate "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" sale to opt out of. You can still control optional advertising and analytics on public pages through the consent controls described above, and you can exercise your privacy rights as described in our Privacy Policy.

Kunbaa is built for families, and advertising is limited to public site surfaces rather than private family areas. We do not knowingly use private child profile data or private family records for ad targeting, and we do not knowingly serve targeted advertising to children.

If we become aware that a placement or partner conflicts with our family-safety standards, we may block or remove it.

If we publish sponsored articles, partner pages, or affiliate links, we will label them clearly so users can distinguish editorial content from paid placements.

Public Kunbaa content should be useful to families, original to Kunbaa, and clear about feature availability, privacy, pricing, and AI support. We do not publish pages only to hold ads.

This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. If there is a conflict, the more specific policy for the activity in question will apply.
