Our standards

Kunbaa prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in every form. This covers content and conduct alike: child sexual abuse material (CSAM), any sexualisation of a minor, grooming, sextortion, solicitation of a minor, and sharing or requesting such material. None of it is permitted anywhere on Kunbaa, including posts, comments, chat messages, calls, Sparks, family tree records, and content generated with Kunbaa AI.

A violation leads to removal of the content, termination of the account, and a report to the relevant authority. There are no warnings for this category and no appeal that restores the content.

Kunbaa is an 18+ product. Accounts are for adults aged 18 and over; we do not offer child or teen accounts. Anyone under 18 appears on Kunbaa only as a record that an adult family member adds, such as a person on the family tree or a child in a photo, never as an account holder. How to report

In the Kunbaa app, every post, comment, chat message and Spark has a Report option in its menu. Reports reach us directly and are reviewed promptly.

You can also email privacy@kunbaa.com or use the contact form. Tell us where the content or behaviour appeared and, if you can, the name or email address of the account involved. You do not need to be a Kunbaa member to report.

When a report is upheld we remove the content, restrict or terminate the account, and report where the law requires it. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police first.

How we handle CSAM

When we become aware of child sexual abuse material on Kunbaa we remove it from the service, terminate the account that shared it, and preserve the material and related account records as evidence for the period the law requires, so that authorities can act on it.

Kunbaa is operated by an Australian company. We report CSAM to the Australian eSafety Commissioner and, where United States law applies, to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) through its CyberTipline. We report to local authorities in other countries where the law requires it, and we cooperate with law enforcement requests that are lawfully made.

Compliance with child safety laws

We comply with the child safety laws that apply to us, including Australia's Online Safety Act 2021, the reporting duty in 18 U.S.C. § 2258A where United States law applies, and the local laws of the other countries in which Kunbaa operates. We also comply with the child safety requirements of the app stores that distribute Kunbaa.
